Documentary Wedding Photographer covering Wiltshire and Dorset
My Approach
You're Not a Manaquin
I believe wedding photography should feel natural, not staged. I won’t treat you like mannequins or choreograph every detail. Instead, I focus on the real moments so you can look back on an authentic memory in years to come.
My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, so you can be fully present while I capture the memories that matter most.

Noticing The Details
Weddings are full of small, often-overlooked moments that make your day unique. I focus on noticing those details — a quiet smile, a shared look, or a quick laugh — and capturing them naturally as they happen.
My goal is to create a complete record of your day, from the big moments to the little ones you might otherwise miss.
Telling a Story
Every wedding tells a story — full of laughter, quiet glances, joyful celebrations, and the little moments that make your day uniquely yours. My approach is to capture it all as it naturally unfolds, without forcing poses or interrupting the flow of the day.
The result is a collection of images that not only show what happened, but also convey how it felt — creating a visual story you and your loved ones can cherish for years to come.

"My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, letting you enjoy every moment while I tell your story authentically and beautifully."
About Me

First of all, thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
My name’s Robert — though please feel free to call me Rob.
I’ve been photographing weddings for over 15 years, developing a relaxed, documentary style that captures the day as it naturally unfolds. Rather than directing or staging moments, I focus on genuine interactions and real emotions, allowing you to be fully present without feeling guided from one photo to the next.
Alongside photography, my other lifelong passions are cycling and music. I’m a long-distance cyclist and racer, and recently returned from a year travelling across Europe competing in the UCI Gravel Series, living in a campervan with my wife. We spent several years travelling this way before recently settling on the Wiltshire–Dorset border, where we’re slowly renovating a Victorian country cottage.
My easygoing approach helps people feel comfortable in front of the camera, especially during moments that might otherwise feel overwhelming. By blending into the background, I’m able to document the day honestly and unobtrusively.
Over the years, I’ve learned that weddings don’t need to feel complicated. My aim is to keep the whole experience simple and stress-free — from our first conversation through to the delivery of your photographs.
These images become lasting memories — photographs you’ll revisit, share, and treasure for years to come. It’s a responsibility I take seriously, and I approach every wedding with care, experience, and attention to detail.

"I focus on the real moments so you can look back on an authentic memory in years to come."
